Dr. Charles Matkin
Dr. Charles Matkin is a native of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, where he graduated high school. He attended Kilgore College for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Matkin received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis Missouri in 1981, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Matkin states, “It was in Chiropractic College where I developed a thirst for knowledge and the skills to help people. Learning is still very important to me, and I am an avid reader and learner. I am usually reading two or three books at a time in the area of health or Christian life principles.”
“Our office goals are simple – get you out of pain as soon as possible and then keep you out of pain. If we can not help your problem, we will help you find the type of care that can. We don’t just treat spine problems, we prevent them. We encourage all family members to have regular care because every age group has spinal stress, from childhood falls and sports through adult lifestyles.”
Dr. Matkin is married to Shelly. They have a son Mitchell and daughter Kristian. Their family is involved in local church and outreach ministries. Dr. Matkin is an avid exerciser and enjoys area lakes where he water skies and wake boards.
